Review : Emerald Destiny by Allie Burke

Goodreads Synopsis :
The night was completely calm now, cool and slightly breezy, no trace of the earlier storm. The rain had been vicious, cutting through his skin like glass, his heart shattering as the shards poured into him from the sky. Not even Cameron's polished influence could muster a storm like that, one that drained his energy until he blacked out of his head. It had only ever rained like that a handful of times since Evan could remember, but every time it did, she was somewhere in the woods, crying. She said she didn't remember him. Abby was a lot of things, but never a liar. That is, until tonight.

Nineteen year old Evan spends his time in the woods of Dare Forest, as close to her as he can be, the girl that for fourteen years, his heart has ached for. The same girl that everyone around him forbids him to love.

Abby's nights are crowded between her Enchanter life, her dreading nightmares, and her enduring will to save her brother from his own inner darkness. But when Evan speaks to her for the first time in fourteen years, she finds she can no longer endure the sorrow clouding her world.

Countless times before them, the union between a Brooks woman and a Reed man has failed. The love in their hearts strives to be together forever, but will their destinies break them apart?

Emerald Destiny (The Enchanters)Emerald Destiny by Allie Burke
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Welcome back to The Enchanters. Emerald Destiny continues beautifully on with the next generation of Enchanters. Allie Burke has created a wonderful, magical place where you go on an amazing emotional roller-coaster ride and you can escape into a world of love, family and the mystical.
In my opinion you have to read book one, Violet Midnight, to follow and understand the story and dynamics of the characters.
I have thoroughly loved visiting the world of The Enchanters and am really looking forward to the release of Amber Passion, the third book of the series.

Review : Violet Midnight by Allie Burke

Goodreads Synopsis
He knew she was gone the second her cool touch withdrew from his arm. He never saw her but had felt her disappear into some cold, dark place. He perceived the black emptiness where she had been summoned, her deep anxiety filling his heart. But he couldn't reach her. He didn't even know her name.

Elias moved to Hazel Grove, California to get away from the rain, his parents, and everything that was taken from him in Hayward, Washington. But he thinks he may be going crazy when he starts seeing purple glitter in the air, the scent of rosemary is everywhere, and he is hearing a beautiful voice.

Jane is content in her life of solitude in the quiet town of Jasmyn Lake, but when her special magic sends her on a journey to meet the man she has been dreaming about for months, she cannot resist.

Look into the world of The Enchanters, where water has a sense of humor, trees scare people, and love - is destiny.

Violet Midnight by Allie Burke
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This truly is a breathtaking story. Romance, fantasy and the magical are a perfect combination. Allie Burke has created a wonderful and amazing world where I was captivated by Elias and Jane's love and the beautifully written story around them.
I found this to be an amazing introduction in to the world of The Enchanters. I am looking forward to reading the second novel: Emerald Destiny, and once again escape in to a work of fiction that feels so alive.

Keeping a blog

I'm still working at developing my blog and although it is taking some time, I'm getting there.Fortunately I love following blogs, and very good ones at that.
I began following Allie Burke and Tymothy Longoria on Twitter. And as a writer, over the past few months my confidence has grown. Reading their blogs has given me so much. They are writers, who with a passion spread the word. The word being to 'Aspire No More'.  I no longer call myself an aspiring writer. I am a writer! Thank you Allie and Tymothy .

LIVING WITH EPILEPSY .. For a long time, I have been standing still. The days, months and years have just passed me by.
Now it's time to live, feel my heartbeat, the grass beneath my feet and to follow my dream. For ten years I have been sad, feeling like a part of me died- when I was diagnosed. Whilst trying to accept the changes I ended up shutting the world out.
No more ! No More ! Because of the seizures I lost my confidence. I use to write alot. Before the seizure that caused an NDE and sent me to intensive care. When I came home I could not think clear and I put my dream away. Yes, I admit my grammar is poor, but I write from my heart and soul. Because of you and Tymothy - I 'aspire no more'. You are two very special people that have opened the door to my dream. Once again.. I am a writer ~ ♥ ~ Thank you
